FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.  How long is THE ICY SCI Show?

The assembly for the upper grades (3rd-5th or 6th Grade) is 45 minutes of non-stop energy and interaction. The assembly for the lower grades (Pre-K through 2nd Grade) is 40 minutes.  However, the time duration of the show(s) can be altered to accommodate your school schedule. 

2.  What grades is the program designed for?

All grade levels; elementary-high school.
 

3.  What does the performer need for the show?

(Two) 6 or 8 foot tables, a large trash can, and a ready microphone.  Please have these available in the performance area.   

4.  What is your normal audience size?  

How many students can see the show?

          Audiences of 70 or less is best for after-school & summer camp.
 

5.  What’s the content of the show?

Who will be the presenter?
The show consists of 7 demonstrations.  Christina Wilson is the managing member of ICY SCI, LLC and will be the presenter.  She will be using liquid nitrogen, dry ice, and dramatic chemical reactions to educate & entertain your students!   

6.  Are any of your chemicals dangerous or toxic?
Most of the chemicals used in the show are non-toxic.  The few that are mildly toxic are kept out of students' reach.  SDS sheets may be provided upon request.

7.  What does clean-up look like?

How messy is the show?  

Will any demonstrations stain?
There are a couple demonstrations that get messy but they are contained.  ICY SCI is an insured business.  In the rare event that the floor or carpet is stained from a science demonstration, full compensation will be provided.
 

8.  Do you give students the opportunity to participate in the show, as volunteers?
Yes, unless instructed otherwise.  When volunteers are needed, Christina will ask the teachers/staff to select students to assist with the demonstration. 

9.  When is ICY SCI available in my area?

Call or email to see  if ICY SCI presents in your area.  Christina travels to most FL counties.  There may be an additional travel fee for schools outside the normal 3 hr. radius.  

10.  Can we get an insurance rider for your performance?

Yes, a certificate of insurance can be provided upon request.
